(This is an RP journal for a character on FFXI's Bismarch server.)

Name: Pahrae "Rae" Mehzoroa

Bio: A refugee, along with her mother and sisters, of the Crystal War. Her strong independent streak and tenaciously competitive nature (perhaps due to being a middle child) is often overshadowed by her overly developed, mischievous nature. Chose to make her own path, as many of her clans-sisters, when the call for adventurers was made to counter the growing beastman threat twenty years after the Crystal War, despite pressure to remain behind to aid her mother in raising her younger siblings.

Her return brought her to Bastok, where she immediately began work as a miner (she eventually was awarded membership into the smithing and alchemy guilds as well). Despite showing an eager fighting spirit, she found her success as a healer and quickly rose through the ranks of the Iron Musketeers. Her path ultimately lead her to play a critical part of the expeditionary force that would defeat the Shadow Lord.

The threat of the Zilart that followed would bring a greater responsibility for her. During this 'quiet war', she would meet many of her greatest companions, as well as be reunited with one of her clan-sisters, learning not just about herself, but also the benefits of companionship. Their influence, as well as the need for adaptation, eventually lead her to broaden her studies to the other schools of magic. Harsh truths uncovered during the Zilart conflict subsequently lead to her disenchantment of Bastok's ideology, and instead forged a strong loyalty with the Tenshodo. This started her on the road of ninjitsu, finally setting her robes and staffs down to take up the blade.

Her successes in the previous struggles led to her assignment to investigate the troubles surrounding the nation of Tavnazia. Leading a group of her five closet comrades, she was eventually caught up in her most critical role ever: a crusade that took them to every corner of Vana'diel. Her experiences throughout the operation would restore her faith in the four nations, as well as establish deep foundations with everyone involved. As a result, she considers Tavnazia a second home, and her people a second family, and often spends her free time wandering it's countryside.

While she did reunite with her troupe when the call was heard from Aradijiah, her participation in this new struggle was cut short when news came of her mother's ailing health.

This journal chronicles her return, as well as what adventures await her arrival...
